Written in 1920, this ceremonial piece by Cyril Bradley Rootham (CBR) is scored for full orchestra. The work was written for an academic celebration held in the Chapel of King's College, Cambridge.
Op.60 "Procession in Scarlet" is a processional work for full orchestra, composed for a formal academic occasion in King's College Chapel.

We acknowledge the help we have received from the staff of the Library of St. John's College, in providing scanned images of the manuscript full score.
Using these images of the original manuscript, Mark Pearse has now produced the first typeset version of the full score.
We are most grateful to Mark for this achievement, and we intend to publish the work during 2019 - almost 100 years since it was composed.
As yet there are no performance recordings of this work, so we can only play a synthesised MP3 file generated from the typeset score. Thanks are due to Stewart Thompson, who used the NotePerformer software to produce this excellent recording which does justice to the orchestration.
