Welcome

We have uploaded many of the carols for our Nine Lessons and Carols, so that members of the St Nicholas Christmas Choir can become familiar with the music.

This page also allows choir members to download the MP3 and video files for practice. Right-click, then "Save link as...".

You can also download the complete Order of Service as a Word document. This contains details of every carol, showing which are congregational and which are choir-only carols.

Rehearsals

For the "Nine Lessons and Carols", we meet in St Nicholas Church, Thames Ditton, at 7.30 pm. Entry is through the door in the tower, and the remaining practices are as follows:

• Tue 8 Dec 7:30-8:30 pm: sopranos & altos only - all carols with descants, and "A babe is born"
• Thur 10 Dec 7:30-9.00 pm: full choir - normal practice
• Tue 15 Dec 7:30-8:30 pm: full choir - normal practice
• Thur 17 Dec 7:30-9.00 pm: full choir - normal practice
• Sun 20 Dec 5:30-6.00 pm: full choir - robe allocation and final rehearsal
• Sun 20 Dec 6:30-8.00 pm: Service of Nine Lessons & Carols, followed by mulled wine & mince pies

 
Service

Our service of Nine Lessons and Carols will be held on Sunday 20 December at 6.30 pm. There will be a short rehearsal for the choir beforehand, at 5.30 pm.
